Andrew W. Kunz

Andy’s practice focuses on the representation of individuals and families of individuals that have suffered severe injuries or death.  Andy handles matters involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, dram shop liability, products liability, trucking, motorcycle, and motor vehicle accidents, and other forms of serious personal injury and complex civil litigation issues.

Andy began his legal career as a staff attorney at the Supreme Court of South Carolina.  He then worked in Columbia, South Carolina as a trial attorney for a large regional defense litigation firm where he represented large manufacturers, insurance companies, small businesses, and individuals in a variety of complex civil liability matters throughout South Carolina state and federal courts, before moving back home to Georgetown County to continue his practice of law.  At Elliott & Phelan, Andy is able to draw on his background and apply his experience and skills while representing individuals and their families in an effort to achieve the most favorable results on their behalf.

Andy has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, and has an AV “Preeminent” Peer Review Rating by Martindale Hubbell®, for the Highest Level of Professional Excellence.  He is also recognized as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.

Away from work, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, hunting, attempting to golf, and attending as many sporting events as possible.
